Fliteboard is the leading Australian maker of the eFoil — the electric hydrofoil surfboard. Founded in 2016 by David Trewern in Byron Bay, Australia, the brand made the sensation of “flying” above the water accessible. A Fliteboard combines a board, a mast and a hydrofoil wing, a submerged electric motor and a removable Flitecell lithium battery. The rider sets the speed with the Flite Controller, a wireless hand-held remote.
Silent, wake-free and requiring no wind, the Fliteboard eFoil can be ridden on almost any body of water. Depending on the model it reaches around 45 km/h with 45 minutes to 1.5 hours of range. The line-up includes the Fliteboard, Fliteboard PRO, Fliteboard AIR (inflatable), Fliteboard ULTRA, and the Flitescooter, an electric foil ridden with a handlebar.

A Fliteboard eFoil is an electric surfboard fitted with a hydrofoil wing and a submerged electric motor powered by a removable lithium battery. Once it reaches enough speed, the board lifts and silently ‘flies’ above the water. The rider controls acceleration with a wireless hand-held Bluetooth controller.

Depending on the model, battery and riding style, a Fliteboard typically offers around 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 of ride time and reaches about 45 km/h. The Flitecell batteries are removable and recharge in a few hours.
